Delete your account

You can delete your Kosha account and your wedding planning data at any time. Here are the three ways to do it, and exactly what happens when you do.

Delete it yourself in the app

Open Kosha on your phone, go to Settings, then Account actions, then Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, because this cannot be undone.

Delete it yourself on the web

Sign in at Kosha on the web, open Settings from your planning hub, and choose Delete account. The same confirmation applies.

Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather we did it, email hello@koshaapp.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm and delete within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We may ask you one question to check the request really comes from you.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign-in, your name and email address, and the planning data attached to your wedding: your checklist, budget, guest list and RSVPs, gift registry, seating, and your wedding website with its uploaded images. Your wedding website stops working immediately.

If you plan with a partner, the wedding belongs to both of you. Deleting your account removes you from it and your partner keeps the wedding and its data. If you want the whole wedding gone, agree it with your partner first and both delete.

What is kept, and for how long

Encrypted backups are kept for 90 days before they expire, so a copy of your data can sit in a backup for up to 90 days after deletion. We do not restore a deleted account from them.

Technical error and usage records are kept for 90 days so we can keep the service working.

If you sent us a bug report or a feature request, we keep the report and detach it from you, so it is no longer linked to your account.

We may keep the minimum we are required to keep by law.

Questions

Email hello@koshaapp.com and a person will answer. If you are a guest on someone else's list and want your details removed, write to us and we will help.
